For puppies under six months of age, this puppy training course offers one-on-one instruction that focuses on essential dog training basics, such as leash training, stationary positions, and proper interactions with people at home and with visitors. We also discuss behavior changes that can affect growing puppies, including growing pains, tiredness, chewing on everything, and other fun puppy issues that may arise. This class is held at Serenity Paws, and home service is available for an additional fee per visit, making it a convenient option for obedience classes.

This program covers the same topics as a puppy training class but delves deeper into current behavioral issues that your dog may have developed. It will also include an assessment during the first week, ensuring your dog receives the best guidance in obedience classes.

Have you noticed a change in your dog's behaviour as they enter their teenage stages? Are you facing behaviour problems that weren't present during puppy training? Whether you need a refresher on the basics or are dealing with specific issues like leash pulling, fear, or reactivity, this four-week dog training course is designed for you. Additional learning opportunities will also be provided for any other concerns you may have. (Prerequisite: Kickstart or another obedience class)

For dogs that have completed obedience classes elsewhere and require additional dog training assistance, you will learn how to gain control over specific problem areas as well as around distractions such as other dogs and strangers. Additional learning opportunities will be available for any other issues or concerns, including puppy training. (Prerequisite: Training Classes) (Please note this is not for a dog that shows aggression.)

Have Shandra come to your home for a Walk & Train session, a perfect start for your dog's training journey. For the first two weeks, Shandra will take your dog on a 30-minute walk while focusing on essential dog training skills such as leash training, waiting, calming signals in public areas, down commands, leaving it, and establishing proper boundaries around others. In the following two weeks, you will accompany Shandra and your dog to learn how to maintain and continue with your dog's training, ensuring effective obedience classes at home. (Additional weeks may be purchased separately. Home Service Fee included. Weather permitting.)

Consider private dog training for dogs experiencing specific problem areas that may not be addressed in traditional obedience classes. Examples include sudden behavior changes like peeing in the house, anxiety, pacing, or whining. Often, these problem areas stem from early experiences and can develop into more significant issues as dogs age. We begin with a consultation session to devise a plan for moving forward, followed by weekly follow-ups as needed. Each session lasts between 30 to 45 minutes, with a minimum of two sessions required. Our home service is designed to cater to your dog's unique needs, including specialized puppy training.
